Overseas Students
Overseas Students may apply by sending a DVD or
Video with the application forms.
For students outside The European Union,
please note that we are a UK Borders Agency registered college.
The fee for an audition is £35, which should be included with your video/DVD (cheques payable to ‘Urdang Academy’) or you can pay by credit card by calling the office.
We would be grateful if you would send us a video/DVD of the following:
A BALLET: show a short barre, centre work with adage, pirouette and allegro. At the end of the class please demonstrate the following positions:
1. Demi-plie in 1st position en face
2. Grande-plie in 2nd position facing the side
3. 1st arabesque facing side
4. Standing; facing the back: toes and heels together
5. Sitting; legs in front (facing side) point feet
6. Laying in stomach (facing side); lifting shoulders and upper back off the floor as far as possible, keeping hips on floor
B JAZZ: show a short dance (1 minute)
C PHYSICAL: Shouldering the leg to show flexibility, sitting and lying on the floor in frog position to show turnout.
D SONG: from a Musical
E ACTING: Present a short modern monologue (up to 2 minutes)
F STATEMENT: As we cannot interview you, please write a short statement explaining why you would like a place at Urdang.

EU Nationals might be invited to attend the Dance and Drama/Fee reduction audition in the UK if they are applying for course funding.
